The Future of Blackpool: Where Business Meets Pleasure

Welcome to the vibrant town of Blackpool, where business meets pleasure, and the future promises to shine brighter than ever before. Here's a snapshot of just some of the exciting new hotels, attractions and updates coming to the town in 2024 and beyond.

Even more places to stay are on the horizon!

As Blackpool constantly grows as a business resort and tourist destination, the new Holiday Inn, boasting 144 rooms right in the heart of the town, is set to become the town's newest large hotel. Just a stone's throw away from Blackpool's major train station and close to popular town centre attractions, a short walk from the beach, and hosting a Marco Pierre White restaurant on site, the Holiday Inn will be ideal for hosting conference delegates from Spring 2024. With plentiful conference rooms, including the new Blackpool Conference and Exhibition Centre, just a short walk away, the new rooms are ideal for large group business bookings.

Showtown Blackpool is Coming!

Showtown Blackpool, a celebration of our rich heritage and a glimpse into the vibrant future, is opening this March. This exciting addition to Blackpool promises to be a gateway to creativity, imagination, and the stories that define us. To entertain and educate your delegates in something truly unique, talk to us about organising a group booking for your corporate guests.

Lights, Camera, Action!

As the curtains rise on Blackpool's future, The Backlot Cinema is set to become a cinematic treasure, making Blackpool home to best-in-class cinematic experiences. The eagerly anticipated IMAX cinema will open in 2024.

Carbon Neutral Transport by 2025

Thanks to ongoing investments into electric vehicle technologies, Blackpool Transport, the main local transport provider for the town, will be carbon neutral by 2025. As well as the arrival of an electric bus fleet, the organisation is already environmentally conscious with recycling objectives in place, plus water coolers to discourage the use of single-use plastic bottles and water re-purpose schemes in place whereby wastewater is used for vehicle washes. Civil Service Hub on track to open 2025

A new £100million, seven-story home for the UK Government in the centre of Blackpool is set to open next year. The new development will welcome over 3000 civil servants as a part of a £350million redevelopment plan for the centre of Blackpool town centre.
